Sources and attribution
Every alert says where it comes from. We only read public services (112, city councils, AEMET, DGT, transport) and what people report; official and open data we reuse under each body's licence. We publish no personal data.
How we read the sources
Yalerta's agent is an automated reader and always identifies itself as one, with this user agent:
Yalerta/1.0 (+https://yalerta.com/fuentes; hola@yalerta.com)- It reads open data and alerts from public bodies (112, city councils, AEMET, DGT, transport) every few minutes (5 to 30, depending on the source). It does not read newspapers or other media, and it does not crawl pages.
- From free-text alerts it keeps the fact and the place: it publishes a neutral title of its own, the category, the place and the link to the original alert. It does not use those texts to train models.
- Before reading a source we check that its robots.txt allows it. If a public body asks us to stop reading it, we stop at once.
- Some municipal open data only answers to addresses in Spain; those we read from a server in Madrid, with the same user agent.
